737.0. "Multiple Controllers...?" by HXOU01::TYPHAIR () Tue Oct 06 1992 17:26
Hi folks
I have a customer who has requested to know whether we can support multiple
FDDI controllers, and Ethernet Controllers concurrently on our RISC platform
ie. the 5000 or 5900 class system. Understanding we only have 3 TurboChannel
slots, is there any other reason it couldn't support multiple controllers?
Also, I'm aware the 5900 supports two FDDI controllers, but as I understand it
this configuration really houses two seperate systems?
Also, has anyone heard of a way to increase the number of TurboChannel slots
available on our RISC platform...DS5000?
Regards
Steve

| You can run mulitple FDDI controllers concurrently, or FDDI and Ethernet
concurrently (according to Dave Sawyer).
