734.0. "CISCO AGS + B/Routers across a 10 Mbs Microwave Link" by GIDDAY::STANISLAUS () Fri Oct 02 1992 00:31
I posted entry 1201 in ETHERNET notes conference about a problem where
CISCO AGS + routers are connected to a 10 Mbs Microwave Link (similar to our
Metrowave Link.) The AGS + B/Routers are used to bridge LAT and route
DECnet between the two sites separated by about 6 km.
Both AGS + B/routers log 50% Frame Errors on the Ethernet Ports
connected to the DEMWA A ports. For every 100 frames received on this Ethernet
port there are about 47 or 48 frames with Frame Errors as seen by the SHOW
INTERFACE E 1 command.
The above therefore leads to performance problems. I saw note entry 555
and 704 in this notes conference and a few other CISCO related notes. Is this
the notes file for posting questions on CISCO B/Routers.
