Is the following a 'known' problem because I'm sure I've read of something like this (but I can't find any reference now I need it)? Using the mixed singlemode/multimode management cards for the concentrator (defcn-ca and defcn-da) the customer is reading the port type using OBM. 4 out of 6 of their concentrators incorrectly report the type of the B port, ie if it is a multimode it reports as singlemode or visa versa. The reading on the A ports are correct in all cases. Concentrator is at firmware v3.1. Thanks, Steve

Steve, This is a known problem, but unrelated to OBM. These 4 management cards are likely at rev A01. The two that behave correctly are likely at B01 or higher. If the customer considers this behavior a problem, have the cards replaced. Logistics has up-to-date spares. At one time, an FCO was planned to fix these cards. (There are only about 50 of them worldwide.) The low population and problems with the FCO process prevented the FCO from going forward. | |||||
