I am interested by the MIB that our FDDI products support. The DC 500 supports: . MIB II = RFC 1213 . IETF experimental MIB - which RFC ? - is it described in the FDDI_EXP_MIBDEF.TXT file ? . private MIB, described in the DEC_ELAN20_MIBDEF.TXT file ? The DB 5XX/6XX supports: . MIB II = RFC 1213 . IETF experimental MIB - which RFC ? - is it described in the FDDI_EXP_MIBDEF.TXT file ? . BRIDGE MIB, described in the BRIDGE_STD_MIBDEF.TXT file ? Is it : * ok ? * and full (no other supported MIB) ? May we use all the extensions simultaneously ? Regards Bernard THOMAS

Bernard, Unless I'm mistaken, the "IETF experimental MIB" that you refer to is the IETF FDDI SNMP MIB (RFC1285). The latest release of that MIB is January 1992. It is currently being reworked because of modifications to management objects in ANSI SMT 7.2. A new RFC should be available as a draft standard sometime next year (hopefully). _ Larry |
