    I am having problems updating the FLASH ram on my 510 Bridge.
    
    This was a 500 bridge that was upgrade to a 510 by replacing the AP
    module with an AP2 instead. This is the information I get displayed
    when the update is tried.

    I have switches 3-6 on the AP2 module in the ON position to allow write
    access to the ports, but I still get this message. I feel that NDU is
    OK as I am able to update a Concentrator that is connected via the same
    bridge. Has anyone got any ideas on this one ????

I think you are using wrong image. DEFEB030.sys is for only DECbridge500.
So, you must use a proper image for DB5xx/6xx. Latest image for DB5xx/6xx
is V1.2, so It should be named DEFEB012.SYS or somthing like that.

Naoki is correct you are trying to load a DECbridge 500 image into a 510 platform

The current image for the 510 is called DEFEB_5XX_012.SYS and is V1.2.  This 
image supports SNMP sets and some bug fixes.  You should be able to order an 
upgrade kit from SSB now for this upgrade...

    Yep...I'm brain dead...
    
    I was under the impression that the 500 and 510 used the same image,
    and was corrected after I entered this note. The new Bridge image has
    not yet appeared on the MAY CDROM distribution, so I guess I'll try to
    scarf it off the net.
