Its my understanding that the FDX mode of our FDDI chips is built into the MAC chips and possibly also implemented in our CNS. If its only implemented in our MAC chip, is it possible that other vendors who purchase our chips from AMD and Motorola would have the same FDX capability? Or is it the CNS that makes it unique? You need the capability of the MAC and the ability to shut off some of the frame based SMT services to make FDX connections possible. CNS code can be made to shut off these services. Ram | |||||
