Hi All: I am in the middle of configuring a fiber run for a customer. This is a 4 mile run that 10mbs is needed for clustering and single mode fiber is needed. I have a configuration that has a decbridge 518 at each end. These are both SAS, will that work? DOn't I need some sort of DAS? Do I have to use 618s on each end? thanks ort1

You can run a point-to-point single-fiber-pair connection between two SAS devices (s-ports). The choice of single or multiple ethernet ports depends on the requirements of the network at the two locations, and can be made independantly for each side. Steve |
