Hi,

I'm working on a large DECconcentrator opportunity and need some help.

I have a customer who plans to install approx. 75 concentrators over a rather
large campus.  He is currently using Sun's SUNnet mgt workstations to manage
all network devices with SMNP.  I know we offer the SNMP MIB II but my customer
wants to know what level of "integration" of a graphical interface is offered
on the SUNnet mgt workstation?  For example, once the MIB is compiled on the 
SUNnet workstation  will the user be able to perform management tasks on the 
concentrator by pointing and clicking the mouse?  Will the user see a nice
graphical representation of the concentrator and the avaiable ports on the 
concentrator?  My gut feel is that it will not be possible without some level 
of customization, i.e., PSS.  Has anyone dealt with this situation?  Has 
anyone already performed these customizations?

    I don't know much about SUNnet mgr but was talking to a coworker...
    he believes that you will need customization for the graphical display
    as you describe.
