542.0. "Help! DEFZA upgarde problem." by TKTVFS::IDO (Naoki Ido, CSC/TOKYO, EWB, DTN 680-2456) Mon Apr 20 1992 05:40

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade DEFZAs(Rev B01 and C01) from V1.0B to V1.2 with NDU
V1.1. However, I always get the following error message.
I tried to upgrade these DEFZAs to V1.1 first but I got same error.
I changed DEFZA(Rev B01) to another DEFZA Rev C03(V1.2), the NDU then could
download same V1.2 code to the DEFZA successfuly.

I'm using NDU V1.1 SSB , ULTRIX V4.2A, two DEFZAs Rev B01 and Rev C01.
Has anyone seen this problem before?

Thank you,
Naoki

I finally found the cause of the problem and my mistake.
The error of question was "DLU error -recoverble". This caused a bad firmware
images I copied. I forgot to say -i when I copied defza120.sys from other VAX
with dcp.

sorry for this confusion,
Naoki
