There are any info on compatibility about our DECbridge 500 and the FDDI/Ethernet bridge ASCOM Fibertalk 5000 ? ASCOM say that it can implement the RFC 1042 and RFC 1188 and we say RFC 791 . What does' it mean ? they can't talk each other ? Any info or comment is welcome Fabrizio

RFC 1042 and RFC1188 are talking about Translating Bridge (not encapusulation bridge), and RFC 791 is talking about IP fragmentation. DECbridge5xx/6xx supports all of above RFCs. Naoki |
