The DECbridge 600 can be sold as a stand-alone multi-ethernet bridge. I assume it serves the same function if connected into a FDDI backbone?

515.1 | You must upgrade a 600 to connect to FDDI | QUIVER::POULIN | Thu Mar 26 1992 09:42 | 8
The DECbridge 600 has no FDDI ports. It must be upgraded to a DECbridge 610 (SAS) or DECbridge 620 (DAS) to connect it to FDDI. The upgrade is simple. Remove the "Null FI Module" and put in the SAS or DAS FI Module of your choice. John Poulin

I should have said 6xx bridge. If I have an ethernet only 3 port bridge, it bridges between ethernets. Although the answer is obvious, this isn't lost when upgrading it to support an FDDI ring?
