Will a configuration with to DECconsentrators with SMF Management Cards (DAS) and only two fibers connected between one A and B port, and the other two ports just looped ? This will not be a permanent configuration, only for a few months ? Paal Ottesen

No problem, that's exactly the configuration you get (wrapped ring) if you did hook up both ports into a dual ring topology and then one of the connections is broken. Obviously if the one connection you have left fails, your network is split in half, but for testing purposes that's presumably acceptable. paul |
