What type of ST connector is being used for the DEC FDDIcontroller 700 currently? One of my customer claims that there is ST2 and that we are still ST1. He has multimode cable with ST2 connectors which does not fit into our 700 controller. Is he correct or are we wrong? Thanks Raj ACT Singapore

From: LEVERS::BALDWIN 18-FEB-1992 17:15:42.17 To: LEVERS::LORENZ, DELNI::ONEILL CC: BALDWIN Subj: Defza ST Folks: ST-I ST-II (or -1 -2...) referes to the connector end not the recepatcle end so a defza will accept a st-1 and a st-2.... in any event the two should be intermateable - there may be some outside diameter differences on the part that a user holds and if that has to plug through chassis skin then there may be a problem. If you are really interested - call Lance McClellan. -chris |
