445.1 | no A/B card means no MAC | QUIVER::PARISEAU | Luc Pariseau | Tue Jan 14 1992 16:28 | 8 |

Without the A/B card the DEFCN doesn't have a MAC. Without
a MAC the DEFCN can not receive ANY (SNMP, MOP, etc.) network
frames. You can still manage it via OBM but not SNMP.
"Remote" means anywhere on the network.

445.3 | OBM functionality? | VCSESU::WADE | Bill Wade, VAXc Systems & Support Eng | Wed Mar 18 1992 12:02 | 4 |
| Is there any documentation on what functions/commands are available
from teh OBM for the DECconcentrator and DECbridges? Can you set
protocol filtering for a DECbridge through OBM?

445.4 | OBM SET Menu and Doc | WARP5::MCCLOUD | Dennis McCloud - SOA ANC | Thu Apr 02 1992 16:33 | 17 |
| The OBM functions and commands are documented in the new Installation
manual for the DECconcentrator 500. Order number is EK-DEFCN-IN-004.
Chapter 4 contains the screens for the OBM access. Looking at the SET
Menu the entries are:
1) IP Address
2) Gateway Address
3) Requested TRT
4) LEM Threshold
5) TVX
6) Update Switch
7) Ring Purger Enable
8) Password
9) Defaults and Reset
0) Restricted Token Timeout
e) Exit
Looks like no protocol filtering access.
