Hi, The FDDI PID mentioned that the external bypass switch can be ordered from AMP and the jack of the switch is MMJ. However, I have checked with AMP that they only provide the following three types of interfaces: 1. Modular Plug 2. DIN 3. MTE Receptacle so none of them is MMJ. So what can we use ? Does anyone know the AMP part no. ? What patch cable (from AMP to our DECbridge/DECconcentrator) should we use ? Pin-to-Pin or Cross-over (how) ? Thanks in advance. Kin

On a DECbridge 620, the Optical Bypass connector is MJ (RJ12) not MMJ. You could find the connector pinout in the DECbridge 620 installation manual. I copied below the pinout from the manual. Pins 6 5 4 3 2 1 +-----------+ | | | | +--+ +--+ | | +-----+ Pin Description 1,2 Relay drive, +5V @200 mA (max) 3,4,6 Return, grounded internally 5 Bypass present, must be externally grounded to pin 3,4 or 6 I don't know any P/N available for a cable Patrick |
