323.0. "TOKEN RING AND FDDI?" by SAHQ::MONIER () Thu Aug 08 1991 17:50

Has anyone heard or know anything about any future possibilities for
Token Ring and FDDI connects ?

Other than the obvious DEMFA and a Q-bus token ring connect ...
using DECNET between the 2 ..

We have a major opportunity in Australia that may depend on this ?

Help anyone ...

	contact Jane Shurtleff (DELNI::J_SHURTLEFF) who is the Product
	Manager for the Token Ring Program. She may be able to help you
	out.

	Also check the Token Ring notesfile (DELNI::TOKEN_RING)
	for more info. Hit KP7 to add it.

   	 I understand that the DEC NIS 600 will offer Token Ring capabilities
         eventually - mid '92-ish ?

   	 Other than that the new agreement with Proteon to use their Token
         Ring/Ethernet Routers may help in some scenarios...
