DNT, Imaging, Workstations (WS_COMPETITIVE_FORUM), and FDDI. **

We are the Strategic Market Analysis group within T&N.  Can you help 
us to determine which high-performance network applications possibly 
requiring FDDI (e.g., imaging, multimedia) your leading-edge customers
are implementing?  What are the business considerations that have an
impact? 

Your reply will help us to capitalize on our leadership position in 
FDDI.  You, the "field," are in point position with our customers and 
know sooner than we can learn through "normal" market research 
channels which trends are surfacing.

We would appreciate it very much if you were to take a minute to
describe the application(s) including the name of the

	Hello,

	My client (EDP group within Philips Electronics) is delivering 
	EDP services to his inhouse customers. He is going to install
	fiber in the plant area and plans to use repeators and/or bridges 
	to interconnect. 

	We would like him to use FDDI instead. He recognizes that we have 
	a very interresting offering. 
	However, he is asking us to help him identifying applications or 
	services which become possible with FDDI (and hardly possible with 
	Ethernet) which are considdered usefull his customers and for which 
	they can charge for.

	We both understand that some marketing has to be done in his customer 
	environment. Stil he like to have some example which are more
	concrete than the generally heard phases such as client/server, 
	multimedia FDDI-cluster etc.

	Is there anyone who can come up with such kind of examples?
