Hello,
I am working on the sale/consultancy with Dave Marlowe and a question
we need answered is do our faceplate products and open decconnect patching
support the "subminiature 9 pin D connectors" that have been mentioned
in note 261. What are the plans here as what we are trying to do is
recommend a wiring strategy and connectorization for the customer to
implement that will allow him to run FDDI over STP on the Horizontal
over the 1-2 year time horizon.
Thanks in Advance,
Jim Durnin - NPC

No. The FDDI-over-STP offering is envisioned to be installed into
existing STP cableplants. The DECconnect family of products is not
expanding to support 150-ohm STP.
A hybrid patch cable, 9-pin Dsub-to-IBM hermaphroditic, will be
available (17-03156-01).
