Attached is a FDDI configuration diagram which I'm trying to get a verification on. The core of the question is "Do you have to have a ring or dual ring in a FDDI configuration." The config below is simply two concentrators connected in a cascaded fashion using SMF. There is no dual ring. A competitor has said that they don't think this is valid. Two questions: a) Do you have to have a dual-ring b) have I configured the concentrators below correctly (ie; the B-port of concentrator #1 plugged into an M-port of concentrator #2?)
