I realize that we don't have a current FDDI-FDDI product, but will our DECbridge 500 do IEEE 802.1d Spanning Tree protocol over the FDDI with another vendor's FDDI bridge? Dave

Yes. 802.1d applies to all LAN types, so you are required to run spanning tree on both sides and indeed we do. paul |
