One of DEC's major Petroleum based companys is installing an FDDI
backbone done in Houston and using as much DEC gear as possible because
of quality.
They have the need to connect to a Cray XMP and want to use FDDI, NOT
HyperChannel.
Anybody know what Crays directions are or who I should contact?
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
We are working with a Petro organization in this area with the same
issue. They are (have been for several months now) looking at system
from Network Systems which they claim isn't HyperChannel. It sits
between the CRAY and FDDI. We are also exploring alternatives since
they have Digital FDDI products installed. I'll send you any
information we get our hands on.
Later,
Ray
