How can I get an online copy of the System Level Description? Is it
ready yet?

44.4 | Hardcopy of FDDI System Level Description is available | RODGER::MILES | Rodger S. Miles, Central ANC | Mon Jul 30 1990 17:55 | 11 |
| Although I still don't see any online pointers, we have ordered and received a
hardcopy of the System Level Description. (And it really looks good!) The
order number is:
EK-DFSLD-SD-001
Again, I will put forth the question:
Can we get the System Level Description online?

Subj: SLD in public directory
John, in response to the memo you forwarded to us from Rodger Miles,
I investigated the possibility of putting the System Level Description
on line.
Ed Rodgers has no problem with that so it is now a "fete acomplie"
Note that the file is a postscript file and contains 3,683 blocks.
To copy the file
copy leaf::public$disk:[public.projects.sld]sld.ps *.*

| Re: .-1 The postscript copy has a date of December 1989 on the title
page. Are you sure that this is the released version?
|
44.7 | PostScript copy is the released version | BAGELS::LEVY | | Mon Nov 12 1990 18:50 | 3 |
| The PostScript file has been checked against a copy from the printer;
they are indeed one and the same. The incorrect date on the title page
is an artifact of the publishing software used by T&N Pubs.

node TNPUBS decnet address 4.62
A useful command to remember in NCP is TELL. You can TELL any node in
your database to SHOW info about some other node.
Example:
$mcr ncp
NCP> tell levers sho node tnpubs (LEVERS is the name of the local
cluster and has a full NCP database)
Node Volatile Summary as of 16-JUL-1991 08:17:15
Node State Active Delay Circuit Next node
