910.0. "Frame too long on DS5000" by TKTVFS::MISAWA (TECM/CSC/MCS/Tokyo Japan) Mon Mar 31 1997 06:39

We have a problem of Frame too long on DECstation 5000-133 with PMAD-AB.
Our customer wrote an application (used DLI of Ultrix 4.3)
where a server broadcast information about 256 byte length message to client.

The client detected frame too long per a week.

We connected only two nodes on the network with dual ethernets.
It is also interesting to note that we have only seen these oversize
frames from the ln1 interface, none from the ln0 interfaces.

We putting a Lan_analyzer on the network and monitor traffic.
We captured oversized frame coming from the DECstation5000.

Does anyone have any suggestions, I am quite stunned...

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

	Ultrix V4.3 with PM430.940225.C patch

I'm searching for ways to diagnose this problem.
Is there any hardware/firmware problem in PMAD or Ultrix?

Thanks for the help.
