1034.1 | nomination applications due Feb 10. | SUBSYS::SUNDARESAN | | Fri Jan 31 1997 11:19 | 27 |
| The following have been apppointed Nominating Committee members
this year:
(1) Maryellen Joyce POWDML::JOYCE
(2) Maribeth Marcello MSBCS::MARCELLO
(3) Ganesh Sundaresan SUBSYS::SUNDARESAN (yours truly)
(4) Steven Eddleston [email protected] (current Director)
(5) Elaine Ritchie ritel01@@cai.com (current Director)
The two current Directors are non-voting members of the
Nominating Committee. My understanding is they are there
to facilitate process, and also to answer any questions
the candidates may have as to the responsibilities and
time commitments pertaining to the job.
There are three Directors coming up for re-election:
(1) Christopher Fillmore-Gillett (Chairman of the Board)
(2) Dave Garrod
(3) Phil Gransewicz
If you'd like to volunteer for a Director's position, please contact
the Election Coordinator (Patricia Coyle at DTN 246-6980) for an
application. Your nomination application must be received by her
on or before February 10.

| Um, one is supposed to request, receive, fill out and return the papers in
five working days? That's a bit tight, isn't it?

| My apologies for not posting the note earlier.. I had assumed
that people actively seeking a Board nomination would have
gotten word of the process from other sources.
I also confess I haven't been checking my US mail from DCU
very carefully of late. Wasn't there something in the mail
to all members regarding the nomination process? Relying
solely on this notes conference for communication to
members is probably not a good idea, since a sizable
number of them cannot check in here.

| No, I haven't seen one of those for a few months, and they're big enough that
I would certainly remember. No matter - Pat is sending me the forms.

| Re .5
Thanks, Gim.. I called Pat Coyle this morning and she confirmed
what you've said re the January Network news.
In addition, I'm told that announcements were posted in all
of our branch offices starting early January. Of course, that
wouldn't be much use to those among us who never visit
a physical branch..
