I tried doing banking by phone over the weekend and repeatedly got a
message that the 800-DCU-8797 number was no longer valid or not in
service.
Today the number is constantly busy and the DTN number as well. What's
going on, and how do I contact the DCU?

Just got off the phone with DCU. Things are back on the air as of a few hours ago. There were major thunderstorms in New England over the weekend. DCU, as well as the local phone company, got hit pretty hard and had some telecom problems as a result. The problem was not all with us. Things are returning to normal now.
