978.0. "Travel Service for the DCU?" by SNAX::PIERPONT () Wed Feb 14 1996 15:45

Could the DCU consider adding this as a beni? I realize that you not
not need a direct connection [according to their words] but they were
    founded to support our industry.

Over 40 years ago, David Packard and William Hewlett founded the American
Electronics Association (AEA). The concept behind the organization was to
provide employee benefits and other professional programs through a
"pooling" effect to electronics companies across the nation.

In 1979, a handful of these AEA member companies banded together to form a
credit union. Their idea was to improve the financial standard of living for
their employees through a financial alternative to commercial banks. This
alternative would provide more convenient, personalized service and keep in
step with the fast pace of the growing electronics industry. American
Electronic Association Credit Union (AEACU) was created as a result of these
efforts.

CU CRUISING was created by AEACU's wholly owned subsidiary Advantage
Resources, to provide travel related products and services to the hundreds
of thousands of employees of its member firms. Intel Corporation, Apple
computers, Silicon Graphics are but a few of the member firms of AEA Credit
Union. With branch offices strategically located in Northern and Southern
California, AEACU renders an invaluable service to its members.

Advantage Resources, the wholly owned subsidiary of AEACU, makes the
products and services of CU CRUISING available to members of credit unions
as well as the employees of member firms, across the United States.

The mission statement of CU CRUISING is quite simple: To serve credit union
members and the employees of their member firms by delivering excellent
service by knowledgeable and friendly personnel at discounted prices.

I don't know, but if you make your request to DCU, I'm sure they will consider
it.
