Subject:  Nominating Committee Volunteers Needed


It's hard to believe that it's time to start the
election process again, but it is.  Any DCU member
interested in serving on the Nominating Committee
for the upcoming election can send mail to me at
[email protected] (the internal Digital method of
specifying internet addresses is posted in an early
note I believe).

There are two Board seats up for re-election in this
election.  It is the responsibility of the Nominating
Committee to interview and select prospective
candidates.  There will be three volunteers on the
Nominating Committee.

    Phil tells me he is still looking for volunteers for the nominating
    committee.
    
    The nominating committee plays a crucial role in the elections for the
    DCU board, in that it provides the list of board candidates for voting
    by the members at large. If the nominating committee does not do that,
    board members are selected by acclamation at the annual meeting
    rather than by a vote in which all members may participate.
    
    Volunteering for the nominating committee involves a relatively small time
    committment. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in
    contributing in a special way to the momentum that has profoundly
    changed our credit union in the past few years to contact Phil as soon
    as possible.
    

Cripes. How many volunteers does he want? I sent him mail days ago.

    
    The last (and I believe typical) nominating committee had three
    members.
