917.0. "DAN and RTN numbers" by COOKIE::FROEHLIN (There's life after DEL [*...]*.*;*) Fri Mar 03 1995 16:13

    Where do I find my DAN (Depositors Account Number) and DCU's RTN
    (Routing Transit Number)?

    Thanks
    Guenther

    P.S. Silly me did a REPLY instead of a WRITE. Moved it from 916.2 to
    here. Might be easier for others to find the title ;-).

Unless I'm mistaken, the RTN is the number on your preprinted
checks located in a text font under the check number and above
the area where you write the paid amount numerically. It is
generally of the form "nn-nnnn/nnnn", or something similar,
and is given in a different form as the first MICR number
on the bottom of your check at the left. The DAN is the other
number in MICR at the bottom of your check, toward the center
of the line, exclusive of the check number which normally
follows it.
