>pay off those balances each month. BOARD CONSENSUS REACHED.
Am I correct in interpreting this as saying that the board wants to charge
a fee to VISA users (like me) who pay off their balance every month? I
rarely have a large balance (December excepted), but it often runs $500
or so, and I always pay it off to avoid finance charges. If DCU doesn't
want me to do this, I would be more than happy to accept any of the dozens
of VISA card offers I get in the mail each month and close my DCU account.
I'm sure DCU would rather I join the majority of Americans who keep
revolving balances on their credit cards and pay 14% interest, but I've
managed to escape that costly trap and I'm never going back.
If DCU really doesn't want my business (and the transaction fees it generates),
there's lots of other financial institutions which do.

| Nope. The board would like to not charge the annual fee against those who
charge large amounts of $$$ to their VISA but pay it off every month.

| Interesting. When I was going through this fee waiver battle with DCU a few
years ago, Phil posted something about the break-even point on interchange
income being a lot lower than $7,200 in $$$ charged on the card. Sounds like
DCU management is trying to sneak another one over on us.

Perhaps they should have given that more thought while they were
carrying out their irrational behaviors over the past 9 months.
re: DCU Company car for CEO
Say what? Is this "one of those perqs without which you can't get
quality applicants"?

908.6 | Frequent flyer miles? | SHARE::MCGRATH | | Wed Jan 11 1995 16:49 | 7 |
| Are there any details availible on the frequent flyer proposal? I was
planning on dropping my DCU visa and moving to one of the airline
cards. I'd prefer to stay with the DCU card if I could get miles out of
it.
Thanks
