Why doesn't DCU post the different branch phone numbers in the Digital Telephone Directory ? I called Directory Assistance and they told me I'd have to call the DCU Infoline. The Infoline told me that they couldn't give me the number, that this was to promote "walk-in service". They took my badge and DTN and had the DCU Branch call me..... METPAY still post all of their respective Digital Branch's in the Telephone Directory. Is there something I'm missing here ?

Seems to me they used to post the branch phone numbers in the directory. If they don't give them out, I would assume it's because they would rather have the branch staff servicing walk-in people rather than answering phones. If truth be known, before DCU EasyTouch I was much more prone to call my local branch than the headquarters for a balance, but I was always miffed when the line at my local branch got long because the tellers were constantly answering the phone. That aspect of branch service seems to run much better these days. If you have a need to call a specific branch (eg, dealing with some paperwork, waiting for a delivery, etc), try asking to be connected to the branch, and ask the branch manager for a local phone number. | |||||

Your reasons are valid. They were very nice when explaining the reasons to me. Just seems strange that they will not even connect you when your in the same building. I got the phone number. |
