| I had a notice at the bottom of my statement saying that I was erroneously
charged a "maintainance fee", and that the statement was delayed so that the
error could be corrected. (There is a cooresponding credit/deposit.) I haven't
spent much time speculating why the error was made.

| "Maintenace fees" because we aren't "Relationship" members. Non-"relationship"
members can avoid the fees if they have >$500/month deposite din their share
draft (checking) account.

| Oops, looked at the mess that is my desk at home, found said statement,
cast a jaundiced eye over it, and, voil�, no fees, I must be a
"relationship" member. Wonder why, I haven't the proverbial pot to do
something natural in... mebbe 'cause I owe so much on my DCU Visa?

You aren't a relationship member. You just avoid checking account fees by
having at least $500/month direct deposited. All the other non-relationship
fees still apply.

Of course, having my paycheque direct deposited _may_ just make that
"at least $500/month" level... no smiley intentional.
What other fees, I never read the bloody inserts lessen I have to...
too much "fine" fine print.
