752.0. "DCU Customer Satisfaction Survey" by STEAD::PATTERSON () Wed Feb 09 1994 09:52

I received a DCU satisfaction survey yesterday in the mail. A wonderful
opportunity to tell them what I think about their damn fees. I also
mentioned that if the BOD does not change after the election and the fees are
not rescinded, that I will be closing out my VISA, closing all my accounts, and
putting mmy direct-deposit elsewhere. I've been with the DCU since it began.
Enough is enough.

And, in what appears to be an amusing bit of irony, we received
Member Satisfaction surveys at our house yesterday too.

Gee, I figured they already knew what I thought....

i mailed mine back already. it was a typical self-serving survey.
the fees question was especially bad, something like:

did we give you enough information about the fees?
___ yes.
___ no. (What else could we do? __________________________________)

please, express your opinions and mail it.
change the questions to what they should have been, or add your own.
all the comments are supposed to extracted and sent to the dcu.

make your voice heard now, and your vote felt soon.

FYI, Paul K. wanted to add a couple of questions concerning the fees
    but they were rejected.

Doesn't that figure. In another note there is a discussion
about data. Clearly the DCU does not want real data. They
are trying hard to ensure that they can continue on their
present course without the possibility that it might be upset
    by data.

To any questions about why more questions weren't asked about the
	introduction of the fees...

I reviewed the questionnaire before it was printed and
asked specifically for questions about the fees to be
	included, something like...

"Do you think that the fees were introduced well with sufficient
explanation for you to understand why they were introduced?

"Do you agree that DCU should institute fees"

...but I was overruled. As far as I can tell, data on how the
membership feels not only about the fees, but also about how
they were introduced is not wanted.

[This note in its entirety may be forwarded to any DCU member.]

752.6July 94 surveySMAUG::GOVOTSKIRay GovotskiThu Jul 21 1994 11:5824

I've recently received the "Digital Credit Union Survey on Service
Quality". There are a number of questions on account types and usage, service
access and quality of service. There are a series of questions that ask
for my expectations for a hypothetical excellent financial institution.
This series of questions is then applied to what I think of the DCU followed
by what I think of another financial institution that I'm suppose to name.
I couldn't fill out that last series since I predominately use the DCU.
There are questions on rates and service charges that ask if the DCU offers
competitive rates on savings, loans, and if the service charges at the DCU
are competitive. Finally there are demographic questions.

Mr. Cockburn invites the participates to provide more information by
sending comments on a separate sheet of paper. If you'd like him to
respond to your comments you are requested to provide your name and address.

I've completed the survey and I plan to provide comments regarding this
year's BOD elections.

The only downside of the survey is, in their words, "a relatively small
group of members" were selected at random to participate. How small is small?
I hope the DCU receives enough responses so that the results make sense.
