720.0. "Clarifications on new fee policy" by ALFAXP::HICKS () Tue Nov 09 1993 09:27

I need a clarification on the new fee policy:

	If I directly deposit $500/month am I limited to one free checking
	account or can I have multiple free checking accounts?

720.1I can answer that question... :-(ALFAXP::MITCHAM-Andy in Alpharetta (near Atlanta)Fri Feb 11 1994 14:017
It is per checking account (as I just found out). But, alas, they won't
be taking from me any more -- I'm closing that account.

I'll just maintain what I *have* to receive free checking. They'll just
have to work without the rest...

    it's seems to be per checking account

    although we have a dcu atuo loan, direct deposit into the joint
    account, and have a had dcu with balance for awhile, my wife's
    checking account STILL get's charged $4....

    funnny thing is there isn't any money in there so they charged
    the account anyway and left the balance at -$1. They'll probably
    try to make me pay that dollar when we close today.

720.3I hope Chuck enjoy's trying to get my $3.99 since I don't deal with DCU any more except to vote!SSDEVO::RMCLEANFri Feb 11 1994 17:0112

  Do what I did... Wait till they try and collect the $3.99 ;-.]

  I obviously left a balance of $.01.

  They have a FAT chance that I would pay to close the account!!!

  All the other reasonable banks I have dealt with consider a 0 balance
  as closed!
