603.0. "Company Cars - Financing" by GRANPA::JNOSTIN () Mon Sep 21 1992 11:20

    The policy on Company cars will be changing soon. Many employees will
    have to give up their cars. However, an employee can purchase the car
    by calling PHH or GE Capital to find out the asking price. I recommend
    that DCU consider a program or process where employees can get a loan
    to finance the purchase of these cars.

Thanks! Suggestion noted (so to speak :-). I've passed it to Chuck
suggesting he contact the Digital-DCU liason folks to work out something.

    What would make this different from purchasing any other used car?
    Wouldn't current DCU loan offerings be applicable?

	I would suspect that usual loans would be fine. However, this does
	appear to be a group that would be a logical target for a focused
	mailing or other targeted marketing approach.

603.4To Buy Or Rent????SWAM2::FORD_DOThu Oct 22 1992 00:477
    	Will DCU consider the amount of money the employee on "Plan B" gets
    when deciding his credit worthyness for a loan? Our location gets $374
    per month plus the $130/month we won't be paying anymore for our "Plan
    A" vehicle. Many will be caught in the bind of not being able to
    afford another car and "stuck" on Plan A. Our District policy is that
    you must be charged to/from work @22.5c/mile even if you visit a
    customer first. Kind of like buying a home vs. renting.
