439.0. "Petition Signature Gathering Locations" by SMAUG::GARROD (An Englishman's mind works best when it is almost too late) Thu Jan 30 1992 20:14

Let's use this note to announce where and when petition gathering will
be to coolect signatures for people who wish to run by petition for the
    DCU Board of Directors.

Please reply to this note with the location and the days you will be
gathering signatures. If you wish to be a petition signature gatherer
you need to send your name to Bill WLDBIL::KILGORE to get set up with
petition gathering information. I suggest that if you see another
person or two has already volunteered for your site that you don't also
volunteer. There is no point in having too many people at each site.

Hi

For you DCU members here in Munich (Americans
relocated or those who spent time relocated in the
states and still have open DCU accounts).

There will be a special DCU election this spring where
all seven (7) of the Board of Directors for the
DCU will be replaced. The nominating commitee has
selected 7 new plus 2 incumbent candidates to appear
on the ballot. Many people would like to see more
candidates on the ballot and are therefore running
as petition candidates (they need n signatures to
actually get on the ballot, where n is something I
don't know). I am not supporting any specific petition
candidates but am serving as a point for all known
petition candidates to have petitions signed by DCU
members here in Munich. I will have petitions at my
desk until next Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1992. Wednesday evening
I will send off the petitions so that they have time to
get to the US in time to be turned in.

This note is for public information only and should
not be seen as a negative or positive statement on
the issue.

This is for DCU members only. Please do not sign if
you are not a DCU member.

This is just for these folks to get on the ballot.
Ballots will be sent by the DCU to each DCU member.

I am on the first floor of DECpark (RTO) in the IS
area.

For those who don't know what I am talking about, a
credit union is sort of a non-profit bank where the
account holders are voting members. Digital Employees
Federal Credit Union (DCU) is such a credit union for
Digital Employees (present and past) and their families,
as well as DCU employees. DCU has branches at many
DEC facilities, ATMs at many others, and offers quite
a wide range of financial services.

For information about the DCU, this coming election,
and so forth please see the DCU notes conference
at BEIRUT::DCU (hit select or KP7 to automatically add).
