432.0. "Tanya Dawkins - running for BOD" by DZIGN::DAWKINS () Mon Jan 27 1992 15:04

I would like to announce that I will also run by petition
for the DCU BOD. I think the most important effort facing
the new Board will be to re-establish its integrity and
to regain the confidence of all DCU members that the Board
is elected to serve member needs.

I believe one of the Board's primary responsibilities is to
openly communicate with its members regarding the soundness
of its investments, its policy-setting ideas, and plans
for future direction. In this respect, I think the current
BOD is lacking and that the nominating committee has again
reduced our "choices" by only putting nine people on the
official ballot for seven open seats. I will work hard to
improve both the quality and openess of all DCU communications.

My past experience as a Commercial Bank Examiner in Texas
uniquely qualifies me for DCU Board member duties and
responsibilities. In that capacity, I regulated banks
with assets ranging from $4 million to $1 billion with
responsiblity for loan review, auditing, and operations
analysis. I was in charge of evaluating the banks' asset
quality, liquidity, and capital adequacy, as well as
determining the competence and integrity of management.

I have also worked for a large bank holding company (65-member
banks) where I was responsible for leading asset reviews,
supervising a team of analysts and writing reports addressing
        asset quality and credit management.

In summary, I believe I can make a positive contribution to
the DCU Board. If you have any specific questions, feel
free to contact me via VAXmail at DZIGN::DAWKINS or at home
	(617) 894-8760.
