About a two weeks ago, a DCU member commented to Chuck that the DCU
interest rates on CD's as posted on the interest rate bulletion board
was not competitve with other institutions. A short time later, the
interest rate bulletin board was removed and DCU members had to ask to
find out the interest rate. I askrd about it and a sheet detailing the
interest rate was then handed to me.
This may have been coincidence and there may be very good reasons
not to post interest rates and instead xerox copies to be handed
out to members. (About the only reason I can think of is that each DCU
branch had to make up the bulletin board and is therefore subject to
error. On the otherhand, interest paid on deposit is a benchmark of DCU
performance.)
Given that any action by the DCU will be subject to close secrutiny, why
do anything that could even remotely be misintepreted?
A question: Is this situation unique to the Mill MLO branch?

I noticed a change at XKO also, but did not pay enough attention to
what actually was done. There were some rates listed, but the bulk of
them disappeared.

I asked at ZKO and you will now have to ask and receive a pamphlet that
contains the rates. This is updated weekly. This is a step forward,
but I still miss reading the rates while waiting in line. I usually
have more than enough time to read it a coupel times. :-(
