236.0. "EASY touch isn't so easy, won't answer" by WORDS::BADGER (One Happy camper ;-)) Wed Feb 06 1991 21:06

    Well, easy touch isn't exactly down, but it aint' working too well.

    Before you get all over my case for putting it here and not calling,
    I did. The word the lady on the other end of the phone gave me is
    its just plain too bad. it works some of the time and that's good
    enough for them. I was told to use the 800 number which works most
    of the time.

    The condition has been this way for 2 weeks. One would have thought
    that if they couldn't fix it in this time, someone would have at
    least communciated the fact.

236.1I wonder how many dial-in lines EASY TOUCH has?PEACHS::MITCHAMAndy in Alpharetta (near Atlanta)Thu Feb 07 1991 07:5312
Ed, I've had this problem for -years- (yes, years). I'll call the EASY TOUCH
dtn number (223-9943) and let it ring. If after 2 rings EASY TOUCH hasn't
picked up the phone, I put that line on hold and call again from another line.
If it still doesn't pick up, I put -that- line on hold and go to yet another
line. Luckily I have 4 lines to work from or this wouldn't be quite so easy.

I'm usually able to get thru before I run out of lines or get a busy signal
(meaning there are no free dial-in lines to EASY TOUCH).

My advice:  Get a multi-line telephone ;-)

236.2This should be fixedCVG::EDRYThis note's for youThu Feb 07 1991 08:3810

    I agree. This problem with easy touch answering phones, ESPECIALLY
    DTN lines, has been bad for YEARS!

    How about it Mary Madden, Why not get the problem fixed???

    Seems to me it's costing DCU money since I no longer attempt to use a
    DTN line unless the 800 number is busy.
