206.0. "DCU-BOD Candidate - Please Support" by CRUISE::JWHITTAKER () Mon Jan 22 1990 11:36

    As you know, the DCU is in the process of "selecting" candidates for
    positions on the Board of Directors.  I would like to recommend that
    you consider Peter Browne, when you cast your vote in this year's BOD
    Elections.  
    
    Peter is the Information Systems Manager for the Northeast Area.  He is
    located in Lowell.  From my personal knowledge of Peter, he is totally
    oriented towards service to the customer; be that a customer of DEC, a
    customer of his IS organization or upon his successful selection to
    serve as a member of DCU's BOD, to the membership of DCU.  As you know,
    the election rules are very specific regading what a candidate can or
    cannot do; for that reason, I am asking on Peter's behalf - without his
    asking - for your support when you cast your election ballot in the
    coming weeks.
    
    Based on how Peter views service as the critical element in any
    successful business activity, I firmly believe he will be an excellent
    addition to the DCU-BOD.  He will represent the interests of the
    membership, and will strive to ensure service to the membership is a
    primary goal of DCU.  Peter has selected "Pushing the 'Service'
    Envelope into the '90s" as his campaign slogan; which sums up his
    approach to business.  He just may be the "service" candidate that can
    make a difference on the DCU-BOD.

        What is his "customer base" - Digital customers, internal
        customers, or both?  What organization is he in?

    Peter's customer base in both internal and external; as the Northeast
    Area Information Systems Manager, he supports the NE Sales Organization
    and because of his extensive background in solving information systems
    related business problems, he works with our external customer's.
    
    He really is a good guy; and I believe he will be an asset if elected
    to the DCU-BOD.
