173.0. "Bank by Mail problems" by ARGUS::BISSELL () Thu May 11 1989 16:25

I just spoke to the DCU HQ in relation to including an new envelope and
deposit slip when they return your receipt. I got tired of having to go
to the Branch to pick up what I needed for "Bank by Mail" and have to stand
in line to be able to get 4 or 5. Mary informed me that they "always"
returned a deposit envelope with the receipt. It looks as if the
procedure is there but the management of the process is missing.
She said that she will investigate and get it fixed.

As a side issue, the MR04 has a "survey form" that has questions such as
how satisfied are you and what you like/dislike and is you business done
via phone, mail or in person with their return address on it - you
provide the stamp.

173.1No bank-by-mail envelopes returned with recent receiptsUNXA::ZASLAWSteve ZaslawTue Feb 25 1997 14:3216
I do all my deposits to DCU by mail. Last week I received two receipts in
separate envelopes for two separate deposits I'd mailed, but there was no new
bank-by-mail envelope enclosed in either. When I called DCU yesterday, the nice
person who answered could not explain why this had happened.

In truth, I received three receipt envelopes from DCU. Two envelopes had become
glued together, so I received an envelope that was addressed to someone in
another state. Naturally, I deposited it back into the mail, but I couldn't
help but notice it was too light to have contained a new bank-by-mail envelope.

[For once, I couldn't entirely blame the US Postal Service for the problem,
although I've received more mail not addressed to me in the last few months
than in the rest of my life before that. Is there a Post Office notes
conference where that rat-hole can be dug?]

This is pretty minor stuff, but just thought I'd mention it.
