G'day I have a customer who is running v4.0 and has enabled C2 security. Since enabling C2 he is unable to log onto the system from the console using the CDE login. If he uses the command line loging or telnets into the system he can login in. Using CDE he gets an "invalid password" message. He gets this for both root and users. This has only happened since enabling C2. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated Regards Kym Schwarz unix support CSC Sydney

Hi, I am passing this note along to someone more familiar with C2 security - CDE interaction. In the mean time, please take a look at the thread on note 468. Also try logging in using the fail-safe and dxsession method and try to resolve any problems if they exist as I suspect they may. John D. | |||||

rebooting the system and changing the root passwd resulted in root being able to log on. Thanks Kym |
