Unix 4.0a When I invoke "Kernel Tuner" I get a list of subsystems however, I do not see the same list of subsystems that I get from the character cell command: sysconfig -s Shouldn't they be the same? On my system there are several subsystems missing from the gui window. In particular: bufcall dlb strstd ldtty bba ddr kio lat Did I miss something or should I expect to see the same thing? Any thoughts or ideas appreciated. Douglas Klimas MCI Mission Critical Support

sysconfig -s lists all loaded kernel subsystems whether they have any displayable attributes or not. The kernel tuner lists only subsystems which have displayable attributes. In the case of the subsystems you list, none of them have displayable attributes. If you do a sysconfig -q lat ( for example ) you will get lat: as the response. It makes no sense to display kernel subsystems that have no attributes from the gui. Tony |
