601.0. "dtterm and its applications not killed by '-' close method" by TAV02::JEREMY () Wed Feb 12 1997 04:29

A customer has been complaining of strange dtterm behavior under
4.0. He opens it with /usr/dt/bin/dtterm -ls &, and then opens
an application (in this case xclock) from the new dtterm. Upon
killing the application and dtterm (using the '-' in the far
upper left hand corner of the window), the processes remain
(demonstrated by 'ps'). I'll include the typescript below in
case this isn't clear enough. In any case, any ideas?

    Before opening the dtterm:
    wiscpg> w

Sorry, but I don't see the problem by what you submitted in .0,
perhaps I missed the point. You show the output of 'ps'
before and after creating and stopping the dtterm and xclock
processes, and in the end 'ps' shows the 2 processes are gone.
Correct, or am I missing something?
