Yes, you are correct, dtmail does not look at excode.
Instead, it looks at some config files in /usr/dt/config/svc.
To use X-eucJP instead of the default, ISO-2022-JP, you need
to modify two of those config files, CDE.lcx and OSF1.lcx.
I've attached the changes you need to make. There are
two different ways to make them:
1. affects all users on the system
Create the directory /etc/dt/config/svc, then copy
the files from /usr/dt/config/svc to the new directory
and modify them there.
2. affects only you
Create the directory ~/.dt/config/svc, then copy
the files from /usr/dt/config/svc to the new directory
and modify them there.
Please let me know if you have any problems with this. I
tested it and it works fine for me.
