TeamLinks 2.7, Windows 3.x. Customer has TeamLinks installed client/server and they cannot access their local file cabinet that is on the PC. They have the "server" piece of TeamLinks on a Novell file service and without changing their rights it works at times and at times it doesn't. The error they receive refers to CFCLOCAL.DLL. The customer wants to know what files on the "server" would be called when accessing a local file cabinet? Debbie Giannetti

What exactly is the error they're receiving? I believe CFCLOCAL.DLL is still installed on the local PC with a shared client installation so accessing that DLL at least would not be due to problems on the server. It could still be an access problem though. A lot of other code probably gets executed before CFCLOCAL is called. Does the drawer appear in the list of drawers? Can the open the drawer? folders? messages? When do they get this error? ......helen
2218.2 | CFCLOCAL.DLL was corrupt but just FYI | ALFSS2::GIANNETTI_D | Wed May 28 1997 12:53 | 9
Helen, The problem was the CFCLOCAL.DLL being corrupt and yes it is local, however, she just wanted to know that if they have local file cabinets, what files on the server are needed to open the local file cabinet and to move documents into it, copy documents into it, etc. Files such as Infoman.exe, etc. Debbie Giannetti |
