I was informed by a customer who attended the CAB last week that it was announced at the CAB that TeamRoute support goes away with TeamLinks V4. Customer happens to have a significant investment in TeamRoute applications and was less than pleased with the announcement. I guess that the only thing that's worse than that is that I wasn't aware that this was our direction. Would it be possible to post a summary of the discussions at the CAB for those of who have to go face-to-face or phone-to-phone with real customers who may also be impacted by these decisions? THANKS!! Rick

2209.1 | We should put all the CAB info on the intranet. | XANADU::cascobay.zko.dec.com::TAMARA::STJEAN | Bob St.Jean | Wed May 21 1997 10:52 | 19 |
Rick, I think we are going to build a CD containing all the presentations done at the CAB along with some other files. During that process I will see if we can put all these presentations into a shared drawer or on the internal web. Actually we can put them into a shared ALL-IN-1 drawer that's accessable from TeamLinks, the web, internal AltaVista, etc. Tony Redmond took his usual copious notes during the CAB. We should make those Word files available also. My summary of the CAB: Customers in past CABs didn't place the highest priority on a full 32-bit TeamLinks, they always had some other things they collectively wanted more. But now they *really* want the 32-bit TeamLinks ASAP. Bob |
