TeamLinks V2.5 on Laptop with WIN95 - Network installation. When the user attempts to connect to the file cabinet he either hangs indefinitely or receives the following error: X400MAIL has caused a segment load failure in VBRUN300.DLL at 0019:000063B6 He does NOT have a local copy of VBRUN300.DLL anywhere on his local disk. I have asked him to make a local installation and see what happens. Can anyone give me any ideas how to even go about disgnosing the problem. Thanks, Cb.

I believe that VB will not run without the VBRUN300.DLL. So TL Infoman and other TL VB apps will require it. The installation is supposed to copy it onto the system if it isn't already there. Bob

Bob, Thanks for your reply. > -< The reinstall hopefully will fix it. >- > >I believe that VB will not run without the VBRUN300.DLL. So TL >Infoman and other TL VB apps will require it. The installation is >supposed to copy it onto the system if it isn't already there. He claims that NONE of his other PCs running the network installation have a local VBRUN300.DLL, and yet they run fine. At any rate, he installed locally on this laptop and it works fine now, and he can live with this. Thanks, Cb.

Oh, I thought maybe he was disconnected from his network. In that case none of the TL files would be available. I don't know if VBRUN300.DLL has to be on the local disk. Normally it's in the Windows\System directory. Maybe that's where VB looks for it. If his Windows is installed locally, then the VBRUN300.DLL should maybe be local as well. Bob |
