Not getting new mail notification on an NT box. TeamLinks 2.7-001 is running under NT 3.51 or 4.0. They are connecting to a cluster consisting of an ALPHA (node LDC10) and a VAX (node LDC12) the cluster alias is LDCSUP. UCX is running only on the ALPHA node LDC10. From TeamLinks if they connect to LDC10 and send a message to themselves they do not get notification. If a user logs into a VT session on the Alpha node and sends a message to the TeamLinks user connected to the Alpha node they get the notification. It states on page 14-7 of the TeamLinks Client Administration Guide that UCX must be running on all nodes of the cluster. However what would stop notification from working if the TeamLinks client logs onto the ALPHA node and UCX is running. Thanks, Beth

Beth, Are they using ALL-IN-1? As you've seen in the Client Admin Guide: If a user is connecting to ALL-IN-1 using the UCX software, UCX must be running on all nodes that are running ALL-IN-1; otherwise, new mail notification will not work. I don't know the answer to your question. Maybe someone in the ALL-IN-1 conference could help. John |
