I have a customer who wants to know when and in what version (eco or
release version) will we have a viewer for Word7, Excel7 and
WordPerfect 7.0 documents?

As far as I know, Word 7 is the same as Word 6 and we've had viewer support for that I think since TL 2.5 ECO1 or ECO2. Pretty much the same for Excel 7, which is basically the same as Excel 5. I did't think we had converter/viewer support for WordPerfect 7.0, but a quick test with TL 3.0 reveals that we do. I don't know when this was added, perhaps Carson can tell us. I tested it with WP 7.0 files tagged as either WPD (the tag for WP 7. files) or WPCORP and the viewer worked in both case. I only tried it with a tiny file. Is the customer experiencing problems viewing any of these file types? Bob | |||||
