Windows NT V4.0 Teamlinks V2.7 MS Office 97 Installed Teamlinks V2.7 and the Installed MS Office 97. When Teamlinks trys to read a Word document, the following error occurs: Error launching application using registration database. Thinking MAPI may be butting heads, I reinstalled Teamlinks V2.7 with MAPI off. It didn't make any difference. Gary

You'll find other, recent, notes about this that offer workarounds. (e.g., 2010.*) Launching will be better in TeamLinks V3, but you might want to search in here for an Office 97 FAQ that describes our current status with Office 97. Jerry | |||||

If you installed it in the default location which has long names you will have to shorten the names in the command line for Word. From explorer go to View->Options->File Types scroll down to Microsoft Word Document and then hit EDIT. Under Actions, open should be BOLDED, hit EDIT again. In the "Application used to perform Action" edit box shorten any long names for mine it ended up like this C:\PROGRA~1\WINWORD\WINWORD.EXE /n Just in case you are unaware; for NT there is no TeamLinks integration with 32 bit applications.
